CONSULTING - PLANNING - IMPLEMENTATION

ENERGY AND AUTOMATION TECHNOLOGY

Are you looking for advice on the planning and implementation of productivity and quality increases through automation in production or in production-related areas?  Then you have come to the right place.

CONSULTATION AND PLANNING

Good advice is the beginning of everything. In this sense, we see ourselves as a valued contact and advisor to our customers, especially in business relationships that have grown over many years. That is why the advisory services of our sales staff are the key to success.

Our consulting services include analysing processes, developing sometimes unconventional ideas and solutions, and working out and explaining the best alternative for you. As an independent system integrator, we have the freedom to meet special customer requests and always offer you the best technical and economic solution.

Within the framework of basic planning, we develop individual concepts, requirement and functional specifications or tender documents tailored to your needs. This includes, among other things, the specification of equipment as well as the preparation of EMSR lists, consumer lists, operating diagram drafts and functional descriptions.

Electrical design

The essential aspect of detailed planning is hardware engineering. We realise the planning of the electical cabinets with CAE systems. As a basis for the control cabinet construction, we develop, among other things, layout plans, circuit diagrams, terminal diagrams, cable lists and parts lists

CAE software used

  • ePLAN Electric P8
  • ePLAN Preplanning

Drive Engineering

Production machines only become an intelligent complete solution with drive electronics and automation. KRIKO Engineering has its own team with extensive experience in the design, programming and commissioning of complex drive solutions.

Whether it is a new system or a retrofit, a standard process or a special solution - we ensure optimum interaction between automation, drive and machine.

Examples of drive solutions

  • Winding drives
  • Multi-motor drives

PLC Programming

When it comes to software engineering, we can rely on the well-founded, industry-specific know-how of our employees. By using the most common automation systems on the market, we are able to respond to your individual requirements. On request, we subject our systems to a factory acceptance test before delivery, during which all functionalities can be tested, in some cases with the help of a comprehensive simulation environment. This makes it possible to eliminate discrepancies in advance and significantly reduce commissioning times.

Automation systems used

  • Siemens SIMATIC S5
  • Siemens SIMATIC S7-300, S7-400
  • Siemens SIMATIC S7-1200, S7-1500
  • Own library for S7-300, 1200 and 1500: KrikoVIS
  • Safety controls from Siemens and PILZ
  • Rockwell Automation ControlLogix

HMI / SCADA ENGINEERING

The visualisation is the figurehead of an automation solution, as it is the interface to the operator. KRIKO attaches great importance to ergonomic and intuitive operation. As a manufacturer-independent system integrator, we have expertise in a wide range of visualisation systems.

Visualisation systems used

  • Siemens SIMATIC WinCC (TIA Portal)
  • HMI system Siemens SIMATIC WinCC flexible
  • SCADA system Siemens SIMATIC WinCC
  • Wonderware InTouch
  • KRIS³ visualisation

PCS ENGINEERING

KRIKO Engineering attaches great importance to uniform and well-thought-out structures when setting up process control systems. This facilitates the programming of complex systems and allows many technicians to work together successfully. The focus is not only on project planning. At an early stage, the effects on commissioning, maintenance and future extensions and modernisations are already considered and optimised.

Process control systems used

  • Siemens SIMATIC PCS 7
  • ABB 800xA

APP DEVELOPMENT

In addition to pure automation, other tasks must also be solved. Production management, purchasing, the laboratory or energy management often have their own systems and have specific requirements for information and data exchange. KRIKO has its own development department with a wide range of know-how. This enables us to deliver the best solution customer-specific beyond automation and to network systems with each other.

Examples

  • KRIS³ process information software
  • KRIS³ energy management software
  • Internet of Things applications
  • Middleware applications
  • Applications based on C#, C++, .NET and JAVA
  • Database applications based on Microsoft SQL Server
  • Bus couplings and gateways
  • Network solutions
  • Alarm management
  • Load management
  • Migration solutions
  • Retrofit
  • Analysis Tools

Delivery

Depending on the customer's requirements, we supply everything from individual components to turnkey systems, regardless of the manufacturer. We provide you with fully coordinated solutions, from the sensor in the field to the automation system and data processing.

  • Measurement technology
  • Drives
  • Automation components
  • EDP systems

MANUFACTURING

Whether it's just a compact on-site distribution board that needs to be added or entire control cabinet rooms that need to be equipped with new technology, we plan, organise and supervise the construction professionally. Since we work a lot in the power plant and paper industry, we are also experienced in minimising the downtimes of production plants during construction by means of innovative concepts, precise planning and punctual implementation.

  • Control cabinets
  • Control panels
  • On-site distribution boards

INSTALLATION SUPERVISORY

When it comes to on-site installation, we rely on competent partners with whom we have been working successfully for many years. Our experience shows that it can also be advantageous for the installation to commission a company on site that is already very familiar with the localities and the systems at your location. Our design engineers accompany the projects from the planning stage through design, control cabinet construction supervision to the electrotechnical commissioning on site. Within this process, they can also take over the function of assembly supervision to ensure the highest possible quality.

COMMISSIONING

Our technicians commission plants worldwide. The cold and warm commissioning of your plant and the subsequent successful final acceptance (Site Acceptance Test) are by no means the end of the process for us. On request, we can also accompany your test/ trial operation in two or three shifts over several days. Within the framework of continuous further development in accordance with our quality management, the practical experience gained on site flows systematically into the processing of subsequent projects.

SERVICE AND TRAINING

During the entire lifetime of your installation, we guarantee you a wide range of support. We offer you support in case of acute problems, train your personnel through individual training courses and draw up maintenance plans together with you so that major malfunctions do even not occur.

  • 24/7 on-call service
  • Support at drive malfunctions, ABB and Siemens
  • PCS 7 training
  • Customer-specific training
  • Maintenance

Operational Excellence

Operational Excellence (OPEX) is the ability to ensure that the core processes in the value chain are constantly optimised for effectiveness and efficiency.

efficiency.  Based on the corporate strategy, processes are designed taking into account technological, organisational and cultural conditions.

OPEX supports the continuous improvement process through the right composition of improvement methods. The focus is on the combination of quality improvement, customer focus, process management and speed as well as the ability to learn and change. The objective is to make the companies successful in competition. The focus is on the continuous optimisation of core processes. Robust and optimal processes simultaneously ensure increased productivity, cost reduction and quality improvement.

Through the interface to the KRIS database, it is possible to carry out statistical investigations. The goal is to determine whether a process meets the customer's specifications. To do this, it is necessary to specify a tolerance that defines the "margin" of a permissible deviation from the target value. The process capability index Cpk relates the tolerance to the scatter of the process. If the process capability is not achieved, either the scatter must be reduced or the tolerance limits must be extended. To do this, one must know the possible limits of a desired function above which there is an unacceptable loss of quality or even failure of a desired function.
