To strengthen and further develop our electrical design department, we are looking for a committed individual for our headquarters in Freiburg – ideal for graduates of a technical or master craftsman school or for young professionals.
Your Role with Us
You will play a central role in the planning, design, and implementation of challenging engineering projects in automation, energy, and drive technology. We do not build standard machines—every system is a customized solution, precisely tailored to the technical and economic requirements of our customers. Our services range from mA to MW.
You will work in an experienced design team, actively contribute your own ideas, and thus contribute to the continuous development of the team. As part of an interdisciplinary project team, you will be in close contact with project management and software development and will accompany projects holistically until their successful completion.
Your Tasks
(with increasing responsibility)
- Independent planning and project management of control cabinets, power cabinets, multi-motor drive systems, networks, and other electrical engineering systems
- Creation of circuit and design documentation (circuit diagrams, terminal diagrams, assembly drawings, parts lists, and order lists) in accordance with company standards and customer specifications
- Supporting project management in the development of customer-specific concepts
- Selection and design of hardware and system components
- Clarification of technical details with customers and suppliers
- Creation of assembly and documentation documents
- Contact person for external switch cabinet construction and electrical assembly
- Carrying out acceptance tests at customers and suppliers
- Electrical commissioning of systems at the customer's site
Your Profile
- Completed apprenticeship with further training as an electrical engineer/master electrician or a degree in electrical engineering
- Several years of professional experience in switchgear construction or industrial electrical installation before or after further training are ideal
- Initial experience or basic knowledge of electrical design (e.g., from projects at technical college, internships, final theses)
- Knowledge of or interest in EPLAN P8 or similar CAE tools
- Knowledge of relevant standards, safety guidelines, and EMC-compliant design
- Willingness to travel and undergo further training, as well as the ability to work in a team, independence, and flexibility
- Very good German skills, good English skills desirable
