At our locations in Freiburg and Basel, we have over 70 employees working in a modern, open, and appreciative work environment. To further develop our IT/OT solutions, we are looking for a committed individual to join our headquarters in Freiburg as a System Engineer - Industrial IT/OT (m/f/d).
Your Role with Us
As a System Engineer – Industrial IT/OT (m/f/d), you will shape the future of modern industrial IT landscapes. You will install, configure, and network systems, develop highly available Microsoft-based infrastructures, and implement secure, robust network and virtualization architectures.
Your Tasks
- Installation and configuration of industrial IT/OT systems and our KRIS digitization platform
- Development of secure, scalable, and highly available IT infrastructures based on Microsoft technologies
- Setup of production-oriented data centers for the virtualization of OT systems
- Setup, networking, and configuration of switches and industrial networks
- Close collaboration with IT and automation experts and direct communication with customers
- Opportunity to take on project management tasks
- Active participation in the design and further development of our IT/OT system solutions
- Implementation of system commissioning at our customers' sites
Your Profile
- Degree in computer science, automation technology, or training as an IT specialist – or a comparable qualification
- Several years of experience in an IT service provider environment is desirable
- Willingness to transfer classic IT know-how to the specific requirements of OT
- In-depth knowledge in one or more areas:
- Storage & data centers (Dell, HPE)
- Servers & virtualization (Microsoft Server, VMware, Hyper-V)
- IT networks & industrial communication (switching, routing, firewalls)
- Microsoft applications (Active Directory, backup systems)
- IT security (firewalls, encryption, antivirus)
- Willingness to travel, independence, ability to work in a team, and flexibility
- Very good German skills, good English skills desirable
